Comment and Participate in the Library’s Web Site

August 3, 2011 at 11:11 am

The Mayo Clinic Libraries recently transitioned a large portion of the library web site to a new tool called CampusGuides. The migrated content is still linked from the main library web site and is searchable within the intranet search engine as previously, but there are a few new features we’re excited about:

  • For some content, library staff want you to rank and rate resources. If something was helpful to you, click on the appropriate star next to the item.

  • All areas of the site ask for comments and feedback. Comment, suggest a resource, or ask a question directly via the comments feature–it will be sent to a subject specialist in that area who can help you or review your suggestions. The web site is part of the Mayo Clinic intranet, so all comments are visible to Mayo staff and students only.

  • Videos, lists of new articles, documents, and more can all be part of one of our new guides.
  • Because of the CampusGuides tool, library staff can create how to guides and subject guides more quickly, meaning the library’s web site is always fresher and more useful.
We hope you enjoy the new look of the Mayo Clinic Libraries web site! To get you started, here are a few featured guides (all links are only available to Mayo Clinic staff and students):
