National Library of Medicine Ends Its Support for ToxSeek

Since there are now several comparable alternatives for users needing a federated search, such as Science.gov, NLM will realign the resources to support other mission-critical programs.

Versioning in PubMed

PubMed now supports versioned citations. Revisions, scientific updates, and updates of reviews are examples of content that could be versioned. A FAQ page is available.

In March, the National Library of Medicine and the National Institute on Aging (NIA) released a redesigned version of NIHSeniorHealth, the National Institutes of Health consumer health Web site for older adults.

PubMed Results and Citation Manager Software

The PubMed “Send to” menu was updated to include a “Citation manager” selection.

PubMed and the My NCBI Favorites Collection Feature

The PubMed Abstract display now includes a “Save items” portlet that will provide users with an easy way to add items of interest to a My NCBI collection.
