Library and Cannaday Split, But Find Opportunity on Stabile 7

August 6, 2012 at 3:12 pm

Construction underway - northeast corner of future Library

The Winn-Dixie Foundation Medical Library – the Library in Jacksonville,  Florida – will be moving from its current location on the first floor of the Cannaday building to the seventh floor of the Stabile building. The Library staff will miss the clinical environment, however we are very excited to be neighbors with the artsy Media Support department, the studious Medical Education department and the rebellious Simulation Center. Library staff will be making the most of the transition by pursuing innovative and exciting ventures with these new neighbors. We anticipate the relocation will provide a better experience for all Mayo Clinic staff.

Following the move, the Library’s services will remain unchanged. Mayo Clinic staff will still be able to access the Library 24/7 with a Mayo ID.  The Library staff recently received news that the new space will feature hardwood finishes and amazing views. Talk about an upgrade! The moving truck arrives on Friday, October 19th 2012.
