Mayo/KI Systematic Review Meeting

Mayo Clinic research librarians involved in systematic reviews (SR) joined 3 research librarians from the Karolinska Institutet for a two-day meeting on November 11-12, 2013 at the Plummer Library in Rochester. Discussions and presentations included differentiating evidence-based medicine (EBM) from SR, scope of research librarian responsibility, SR scoping searches versus SR exhaustive searches, introducing EBM and SR to undergraduate medical students and residents, approaching SR from a researcher’s perspective, and the impact and sustainability of SR. Thanks to presenters from Mayo Graduate School and Center for Clinical and Translational Science, and Mayo Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery.
