Income from the Library’s Laurence M. and Hazel M. McColl Endowment Fund will fund the purchase of children’s books and other resources for children at the Mayo Clinic Hospital Patients’ Libraries in 2014.  These funds will be used to expand the children’s book collections at the Patients’ Libraries at both the Methodist and Saint Marys campuses in Rochester.  In addition to children’s books endowment funds will allow the Patients’ Libraries to purchase gaming systems, board games, and craft kits to offer diversional opportunities for hospitalized patients and their families.

To date, the Library has received several books including:

Eloise in Paris  books

Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus
No, David!
Giraffes Can’t Dance
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
The Very Hungry Caterpillar  (in English, Arabic, and Spanish)
